Since its inception in 2010, the CCC Music Festival has established a solid name as one of the most reputable and popular music festivals in Canada.
It has been an annual signature event of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto – a non-profit organization with more than three decades of proud history serving the multicultural community and promoting diversity. (www.cccgt.org.)
The Festival is held in recognition of the artistic achievements of our young musicians, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their potential in the performance and pursuit of excellence. To provide performance opportunities for young musicians and to help bring the scope of their talents to new heights, winners of the CCC Music Festival will be invited to the Gala and Award concert with an opportunity to perform at our 626-seated state-of-the-art P.C. Ho Theatre and Concert Hall in metropolitan Toronto, Canada (www.cccgt.org/book-an-event/p-c-ho-theatre/)
Due to Covid-19, the CCCTIMF has successfully adapted to a virtual online format in 2020 to continue to provide young musicians with an opportunity to learn, grow, and break through new dimensions. We were so encouraged to see hundreds of participants braved this new virtual format and embraced the opportunity with passion and dedication, ultimately delivering their best performances in the festival.
For the 2021 festival, we have expanded our coverage to an international scope to accept participants from all countries around the world. We have also expanded our festival syllabus to include a wide range of repertoire from the RCM and ABRSM syllabus and created a new Special category; so participants have more options to get involved in the festival. This opens a new dimension and opportunity for the young musicians to showcase their talents, share music, learn from each other, and receive international exposure. The virtual online festival will take place in September 2021 with the in-person winners gala and award concert tentatively set to be held in October or November at our signature P.C. Ho Concert Hall.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks for the steadfast support from our sponsors and donors who are sharing the same passion for nurturing young people and bringing up future leaders. Thank you also goes to our organizing committee for their tireless efforts to make every year’s festival a successful and inspiring one.
Let music connect us and lift our spirits in this challenging time. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Festival.
