2026 Syllabus - OMFA Qualifying Classes

OMFA Provincial Nomination is based on an adjudicator’s recommendation.

Participants registered in the OMFA Provincial Qualifying classes must also enter at least two additional non-OMFA Provincial Qualifying classes from the CCCTIMF In-person RCM or In-person Special Syllabus to be eligible for OMFA Provincial nomination.  

All class in OMFA Provincial Qualifying Syllabus do not qualify for Signature Trophies and Scholarship.

Participants are required to register for classes according to their age group as per the 2027 OMFA Provincial requirements, if the age range is indicated.  

It is the participant’s responsibility to be familiar with the Provincial Festival rules & repertoire requirements. Please refer to OMFA website (www.omfa.ca).

OMFA Provincial Qualifying Classical Piano Duet Classes

  • Enter the class corresponding to the age of the oldest duet member, as per the 2027 OMFA requirements.
  • Perform ONE piece only. 
  • Memorization is optional.
  • Contestants must provide an original score for the adjudicator.
  • Four hands performance is required.
  • Contestants who are currently playing in ARCT level must enter senior class, regardless of age.
